Below we present an overview of international awards and other types of external recognition received by TNT.
TNT wins Henri Sijthoff award for best financial reporting
November – Dutch newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad chose TNT as the recipient of its Henri Sijthoff award, which is presented annually to companies that have distinguished themselves through the quality of their financial reporting.
TNT received the award for its annual report.
It is the third time that TNT was honoured in this way, having also claimed the award in 1996 and 2004.
TNT wins CGI corporate citizenship award
September – In a special award ceremony in New York, TNT’s CEO Peter Bakker was presented with a Clinton Global Citizen Award.
Bakker received the award in recognition of the corporate responsibility efforts by TNT under his leadership.

TNT tops Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the third straight year
September – TNT was again named as global leader in the category 'Industrial transportation' – as well as the wider 'Industrial Goods and Services' supersector – of the 2009 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).
Moreover, the company’s score of 95 also represented the highest score by any company.
TNT among Fortune’s 'Top Companies for Leaders'
'Top Companies for Leaders' is a joint study by Fortune Magazine and The RBL Group that ranks 537 major companies based on criteria such as leadership practices and culture, company reputation, and business performance. In 2009 TNT took 2nd and 13th position in the European and global ranking respectively.
TNT Express China wins top HR management awards
Leading human resource services provider 51 job, Inc. selected TNT China as one of the '100 Best Human Resources Management (HRM) Companies of 2009'. TNT also won the 'Best Corporate Culture Management' award, and was elected one of the most popular employers by online voters.
TNT Hoau 'Most Competitive Logistics Company'
TNT’s Chinese subsidiary emerged as the 'Most Competitive Logistics Company' at the 2009 International Logistics & Supply Chain Management Cooperation and Development Conference. Special praise was reserved for its competitive distribution network, innovative day-definite service, and investment in information systems.
Customer Service awards for TNT Express Indonesia and Thailand
The Asia Pacific Contact Centre Association Leaders (APCCAL) singled out TNT Indonesia’s Customers Service team for its 'Best Contact Centre of the Year' award. TNT Thailand meanwhile clinched the 'Customer Focus Award' at the 2009 Thailand National Call Centre Awards Ceremony.
Triple honour for TNT Mercúrio
TNT Mercúrio was recognised as 'Best Transport Company' and 'Best Automotive Supplier'. Customers also voted TNT’s Brazilian delivery partner as one of the 'Top 10 Best Logistics and Transport Suppliers'.
